fatcat records announced
this week that the forthcoming single from the new album will be "marmalade
fires" (to be released later this year).
"marmalade fires" will include the song "rhubarbidoo"
as a b-side, and a video as already been done for that same track by overture.

FATCD46 - standard jewelcase edition cd album with 8
page booklet with illustrations by ingibjörg birgisdóttir.
FATLP46 - double vinyl album, side a+b on 12" and sides c+d on 7", packaged in gatefold sleeve. the c+d side 7" housed in a 7" sleeve featuring more of ingibjörg birgisdóttir's illustrations, slid into a little pocket on the inside spread of the gatefold sleeve.
FATCD46LTD - limited edition cd album: housed 'act pac'
cd packaging - this is 100% recyclable, carbon neutral as its made of
starch, potato and water. inserted into the package is 4 interchangable
cards containing 7 illustrations by ingibjörg birgisdóttir
that can be swapped around to change the front cover image on the album.
all released 24 september 2007.

dr.gunni at smekkleysa has once again delivered some wonderful news.
ólöf arnalds, múm's collaborator for
the past 3 years, released her solo album recently on 12
tónar. "við og við" is described
as "an enchanting album full of peaceful and folkish music, radiant
with sanguinity and hope." the album was produced by sigur
rós' kjartan sveinsson who also plays some instruments along
with skuli
sverrisson. you can buy the album at smekkleysa.

fresh news from dr.gunni at smekkleysa.
múm have recently recorded a live session for hlaupanótan,
a radio show broadcasted on the national icelandic radio.the session contains
interviews with the band (in icelandic), and live recordings and raw mixes
of several songs that will be included in múm's 4th album, "go
go smear the poison ivy, let your crooked hands be holy",
to be released next autumn.
