sweaty nails and a ok today

six years ago during summer, örvar, gunni, kristín and gyða recorded a bunch of songs in a tiny sweaty room with carpenters banging nails around them, but sometimes they put on headphones so they could not hear them.

“yesterday was dramatic, today is ok” was originally released on icelandic label thule musik in 2000. after some battling the kids recovered the rights of this record back, and now morr music will re-release it (october 2005) in europe and in the usa, on cd and double lp. the album was remastered by helmut erler a.k.a. hey from hey o'hansen, and will keep its original tracklisting and artwork.

coincidentally múm will play the entire album at the "don't look back” festival (17th september at the barbican in london).

around that same time they will do some other concerts in europe to showcase old songs and new songs. so far there are two new dates confirmed.

more dates coming soon.

thanks to mr. morr for the information. check the morr website for news and tons of information about this brilliant label.
